Chuck Brown, the Godfather of Go-Go

Washington DC's "National Treasure", Chuck Brown, is credited with the creation of go-go music, which has become a Washington DC-exclusive genre of music, mixing elements of Hip-Hop, Jazz, and live instrumentation. Amazingly, some people that have lived in the Northern VA-Washington DC area their whole lives have never heard go-go music.
